FA SKILLS COACH (FULL-TIME)

The FA are currently recruiting for a Full-Time FA Skills Coach to be based in Cornwall.

The advert will close on the 5th of October with the recruitment day taking place on the week commencing the 17th of October.

The FA Skills Programme:

We introduced the FA Skills to inspire all 5-11’s to love and develop their game, foster lifelong healthy active lifestyles and to improve the long-term performance of our National game. This Programme has a massive short and long-term impact on the nation’s children and football as a whole. The Programme aims to give 5-11’s age appropriate coaching and self-help tools to learn the basics needed to reach their full potential.

Overview of the role:

You will work within the regional skills team and deliver FA Skills coaching to 5-11 year olds through FA Skills Centres, school curriculum lessons, Charter Standard Clubs and holiday sessions or events. You will also support primary school teachers, grassroots coaches and young leaders.

Your role will include the planning, design and delivery of coaching sessions which accommodate differentiation within the 5-11 year age group and promote The England DNA. In addition you will be responsible for organising and promoting the sessions, as well as the completion of all related administration tasks and liaising with the various internal and external stakeholders.

As a Skills Coach you will spend approximately 20 hours of your week coaching and the remainder of the time planning and designing sessions, completing required administration tasks and associated travel across the county.
