SENIOR CONSULTANT; KNIGHT, KAVANAGH & PAGE Ltd

(Salary negotiable)

Knight Kavanagh and Page Ltd has been awarded a key commission by the FA to deliver over 326 Local Football Facility Plans across the country and as such needs to recruit a Senior Consultant to join its delivery team for this project. The delivery of this major assignment on behalf of the FA will take up to 2.5 years and will seek to develop local priorities for football investment throughout each local authority. Although the initial focus for this role will be the delivery of this major project, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to expand their experience into what is a varied portfolio of consultancy assignments delivered by the company.

Based at, and working from, the Company’s north Manchester office, you will have a good understanding and experience of football as well as the wider UK sports industry. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong personal organisation, a strong work ethic and proven capacity to deliver high quality outputs often to meet tight deadlines.

KKP is the largest, independent practice of this type in the UK sport, leisure and cultural sector. It provides quality consultancy services to clients in government, local authorities, national governing bodies of sport, home country sports councils, 3rd and private sector bodies.

Among our key specialisms is strategic facilities planning; KKP contributed to the development of Sport England’s methodologies and guidance for both indoor and built and playing pitch strategies and is a leading practice in these fields. Other areas of expertise include feasibility studies, governance, management options appraisals, financial planning, service reviews, monitoring and evaluation and specialist research. (See our website at www.kkp.co.uk for further details)

You will initially be expected to work as part of our FA delivery team, develop client relationships and ensure that deadlines are achieved. Strong interpersonal skills are, therefore, a must.  The capacity, when required, to work long and (at times) unsocial hours and an ability to work effectively under pressure will also set you apart from your peers.

In exchange for this commitment, KKP offers a competitive salary, excellent prospects, a friendly, supportive working environment, professional development support plus car and telephone allowances.

Please send your application (in the form of a CV and covering letter) to Charles Horton at the address below or to charles.horton@kkp.co.uk by Monday 19 November 2017.  For an informal discussion, please contact Andy Fawkes (0161 7647040 or 07739 378690). This position is not suitable for those wishing to work on an associate basis.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on Friday 24 November 2017 at KKP offices.
