County Donates to Precious Lives Appeal

Lieutenant Commander Chris Godwin and his wife Louise are pictured receiving a cheque for £500 from Cornwall County FA towards 771 Naval Air Squadron’s fundraising event for Children’s Hospice South West ‘s Precious Lives Appeal.

Chris and his wife recently suffered the tragic loss of their baby son, Colton, to Spinal Muscular Atrophy. They had brilliant support from the Little Bridge House Hospice near Barnstaple, and Chris says "So when plans were announced to set up a Children’s Hospice in Cornwall, there was a really worthwhile project for 771 Squadron to support, not only for Cornwall but also in Colton’s memory."

Cornwall FA select a charity to support each year from funds raised from the Durning Lawrence Charity Cup Competition.
