Cornwall Girls Compete in the Midlands
Cornwall’s FA Girls Centre of Excellence was one of the teams in a Centres of Excellence football festival for Under 10 girls in Leicester recently.
Cornwall’s U10s were formed this season with a view to development and their first fixture was against Bristol a fortnight ago, where they had an eye opening experience! Since then under the guidance of the U10s head coach, Natasha Mills, they have come along in leaps and bounds. At the Leicester competition they won their first game against Lincoln City, went on to hold Birmingham to a draw, followed by a narrow defeat at the hands of Coventry City and finally losing to Notts. Forest. The experience gained by entering this competition will stand them in good stead for years to come.

Finally, a big thank you to the Cornish supporters (far more than any of the pro club centres) for their wholehearted contribution to the festival, taking time off work for two days, and giving their outstanding vocal encouragement.
