Current Activity for Girls Football
There are three areas we are concentrating on at present:
Creating girls sections in existing women's clubs
Creating new turn up and play opportunities around Cornwall
Support existing women's and girls clubs to expand and develop
Creating Girls Sections
Launceston, St Blazey, Hayle and Bude Town have received support to start girls football at various age groups from under-10 to under-16.
So far, more than 80 girls have begun to play football under the wing of the above clubs.
Turn Up and Play
Flexible playing formats are currently being created to bridge the gap between school activity and the club environment. So, centres will be created in each district to offer a development programme and exit routes into local clubs.
Existing Clubs
A support package is being offered to enhance the female playing environment.
If your club is interested in any of these schemes, please contact us.
