Football Development Aims

Our Football Development Aims and Objectives are set out in Cornwall FA's part of the National Game Strategy and other documents which are available on the right.

Working Groups for specific areas of football development work have been or are being formed for the following topics:

Disability Football
FA Charter Standard Schools and Clubs
Coach Learning and Development
Facilities and Investment
Development Forum
Cornwall Schools FA
Community Coaching Schemes

These Working Groups can co-opt and recruit members from interested organisations and specialists as appropriate to the development of the game and the needs of the group. There is a document available in the right. If you are interested in becoming a member of one of the groups, then please e-mail andy.mitchell@cornwallfa.com for more information.

The Development department also organises and delivers coach education courses (see Courses page) and assists with the overall development of the game in the County.

Football Workforce Awards 2007-08

The annual Cornwall FA Football Workforce were given out to 9 winners from clubs at an event at Bodmin Town FC recently.

The evening was hosted by Andy Mitchell, Cornwall FA’s County Development Manager, who praised all the award winners for the progress they and their various clubs have made in introducing or developing football in their respective communities. The awards were presented by members of Cornwall FA – the President Brian Conyon, retiring Chairman Dennis Champion, Vice-Chairman Tristan Scott and Youth Secretary David Bray.

Cornwall FA is seeking coaches who would like the opportunity to participate in various coaching activities in and around the County.

The positions are part-time. Expenses will be covered.
